Israeli Law to Ban Animal Testing on Imports Takes Effect

A 2010 law passed by Israel took effect January 1, 2013 banning animal testing on cosmetic products imported into the country. Much like the European Cosmetics Directive, this law governs cosmetics, toiletries and detergents and includes a ban on the marketing of cosmetics that have been tested on animals in foreign countries as well.
