Our Technical Workshops focus primarily on the technical, or “nuts and bolts”, aspects of a specific assay or toxicological end point. We bring together a small group of participants who have extensive experience or specialized knowledge of the assay for intensive scientific review and debate. The goal of the Technical Workshop is to clearly define and understand the procedures for conducting a specific assay and to investigate the mechanistic relationship between the in vitro assay and the human toxicological endpoint of interest.
The work product of this style of workshop is a report outlining the state-of-the-art of the assay and delineating what additional investigations or modifications should be undertaken. These reports are then widely distributed among the in vitro testing community and are used in the development and improvement of the assays.
