IIVS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing a unique resource for the advancement of non-animal testing. Unique because in addition to our Scientific Services we provide Education and Outreach Programs for industry, regulatory agencies and validation authorities worldwide to further the use and acceptance of alternative methods. While some of our Scientific Services are self supporting, most of our Educational and Outreach Programs rely heavily on contributions for their success.
How your contribution helps:
The ultimate goals – regulatory acceptance of alternative methods and the replacement of animals in testing – require continual development, refinement and validation. Our dedicated and experienced team is working toward these goals with leading agencies and organizations including ECVAM, ICCVAM and COLIPA. This work is only possible through the generous support of our contributors. With your contribution to IIVS, you’ll be helping to tackle an issue that is important to your employees, your family and your communities.

Why should you contribute?
Encouraging progress has been made but there is still much to be done. Reaching out to a wide variety of communities and organizations to educating them on the need for testing protocols that don’t use animals is time consuming and complex. IIVS is unique in having the scientific credentials and reputation to do this effectively. With your contribution you’ll be joining IIVS, and an impressive “Who’s Who” of like minded organizations, in actively supporting our ability to reach out, educate and advance the field.
Although many alternatives to animal testing exist, they are not widely used. In addition, the process of identifying promising new methods and bringing them forward for validation and regulatory acceptance is challenging. Our outreach programs educate the community on the availability of currently accepted in vitro test methods and publicize the obstacles that need to be overcome for new methods. By making you aware of the critical steps in this process you will see how your contributions can increase the chance of success and accelerate the process.
By contributing to IIVS you will publicly demonstrate your commitment to alternatives and gain recognition in the field. Please click here to learn how you can contribute to our work.
